Youth Guidance

Contacts with institutional, juvenile justice, or social service agencies connect trained adults with young people to help them make good choices and establish a solid foundation. An at-risk young person has experienced significant damage  and is likely to damage the lives of others. A "significantly damaged life" is defined as the presence of negative influences (or the absence of positive influences) that increase the likelihood of destructive life choices.

Campus Life(High School), Junior Varsity(Senior Public School)

Youth Unlimited Campus Life ministry combines healthy relationships with creative programming to help young people make good choices. Campus life is a place for students to have fun, make friends and talk. A balanced approach covers physical, mental, social and spiritual skills needed to live in a turbulent world. Lunch hour clubs, coaching, assistance/volunteering with school activities in the class room or extracurricular opportunities, area events, trips, special outings and character education assemblies. Staff and adult volunteers find creative ways to build relationships with students.

The HERO Project is a partnership of Stratford youth pastors and youth workers working together  to see the best for youth, as well as the best in youth. By working with public elementary schools in Stratford and area, the HERO Project puts together, and performs multimedia, interactive assemblies based on character attributes that the Avon Maitland school board is seeking to instill in youth.

School Sports

Youth Unlimited staff run sports programs such as weekend touch football, ball hockey or basketball leagues and tournaments, sometimes in conjunction with local schools, to provide a forum for establishing relationships with youth. Through these connections, youth are encouraged to attend other campus life programs and small groups.

School Events

Campus Life seeks to serve schools through sponsorship and partnership in assemblies and school trips. Spring break trips as we include all as speakers, comedians and/or multi-media presentations that address pertinent teen issues. These events further strengthen ties to staff and administration and raise the profile of YFC/Youth Unlimited in the schools. The overriding motivation is increased participation by youth in Campus Life clubs and small groups in hopes that some will enter into a saving relationship with Christ.
